Performance Optimization

Developing the optimal configuration is an iterative process. Certain changes to the basic configuration, such as price, word choice, placement, etc., can have significant impacts on attachment rates. We therefore recommend conducting targeted tests, especially in the initial phase after go-live, to further optimize your configuration and scale up your program.

Variables

Every single decision made in designing your product protection program contributes to the overall attractiveness of the program and thus influences customer purchasing decisions. This means that the following elements, among others, can be adjusted and fine-tuned to achieve optimal results in the long term:

  • Protection type

  • Coverage

  • Pricing

  • UX

  • Design

  • Messaging

Testing Procedures

Depending on the available options, either multiple configurations can be tested simultaneously, e.g., through A/B and multivariate tests, or individual configurations can be analyzed during specific test phases and then compared.

Regardless of the chosen testing method, it must be ensured that an evaluation process is carried out after each test to ensure that the insights gained from the test are analyzed and utilized.

Starting Point

In the other best practice guides, we present some more of our best practices. You can use these to find the optimal starting point for parts of your product protection program configuration that align with our experience and legal requirements. Other topics are very specific and must be precisely tailored to your business case (e.g., pricing). These topics will be developed in consultation with your Hakuna Account Manager.
